As of May 10th, 2022 the Governor of Jalisco has ended the mask mandate with a couple of exceptions. The only requirements are as follows. Those who board public transportation and those who are in hospitals and clinics. Some businesses may have their own rules on wearing masks in their stores that as a guest you should abide by, but they are not required to do so by the government.

The cases of Covid in Puerto Vallarta as well as the rest of Mexico are very low as are the hospitalizations from Covid.
